Bullshit.

I just drove all the way out to Circuit City with one goal in mind: to get The Devil's Rejects soundtrack. It has some great tunes (Midnight Rider, Freebird, Rock On, Seed of Memory), and I finally decided to get off my ass and go get it.

I get up to the checkout counter. This bitch won't let me buy the damn CD, because it's parental advisory, and I'm not 17.

"But I turn 17 in 10 days!", I explain to her. She won't let me get it. If only she knew the kind of gruesome shit I watch on a daily basis...like a few "f" words are gonna effect me...

...I oughta chop her up with an axe.

Sorry for the rant, but the restrictions on freedom of speech are getting fucking rediculous.

I know how you feel. I didn't know they had it on cd's though? I bought an ICP and Twiztid cd with my gf when I was 16....but then again people think I'm like 25, and I had all my spikes and makeup on... They didn't question me then, but I tried buying Killzone for the PS2 there and they wouldn't let me. Imbeciles!!

Yah, it blows, man. Do you live in America?

They've got the little stickers on CDs (bottom left corner).

Damn you Tipper...

I can't believe how much they've starting actually following that crap, same with videogames. Last year my grandma picked up a Mortal Kombat game for my brother's birthday and they friggin' carded her! Insane...

Ive never actually tried to buy a "Parental Advisory" CD, but I have figured out what stores will/wont let me buy R rated movies. Are there any other places you could buy it? Try them if there is.

Blockbuster wont let me off with anything, but Zellers and CD Plus dont seem to care. It's all a matter of experimentation.

Yeah, I live in Georgia. That's why I was shocked to hear this about music cd's because I've never had this problem.

@Despare
They carded my mom when I went to but Kiss: Psycho Circus for the Dreamcast last year. It's stupid.

Yah I'll probably try Best Buy.

What I just don't get was if they let it slide, they'll make an extra $15 and a customer will be happy. Instead, a customer walks out of the store empty handed. We both lose.

Blockbuster don't give a shit here. I can buy/rent anything I choose and have been able to forever.

Best Buy blows though.

It's the opposite here. I've given up on Blockbuster, they card me every time.

Best Buy I've never had a problem with. They've never carded me, and I like their selection. They're a little farther away, however.

Blockbuster here is insane. They change ratings. They make them up themselves, so even if a movie isnt supposed to be R, I cant rent it. Oddly enough it does work both ways....but not often in my favour.
