Fuck you Peter Jackson and your asshole cronies for making the NZ horror genre a pisstake. Anything to risky or "nasty minded" gets buried but this shit is considered a viable commodity?

Anyone seen NZ flicks that weren't directed by Peter Jackson or Jane Campion? There's potential to do something grand in the horror genre (shit... look at the landscapes in Utu/Ngati/The Scarecrow/Smash Palace not to mention "raw characters") .... maybe the artless cashminded yuppies should get their claws the fuck outta here and stop dilluting horror/crime flicks to please overseas markets. Your worried people won't come over here because of undesirables on the screen? It was ok for Once Were Warriors to be released (shit.... I saw some assholes on Oprah talk about it and even mention "Maori" wrong and refer to Maaaoooreees as savages? Part of your critical acclaim?) ..... but anything horror HAS to be dumbed down and tame splatter?

He takes other people's movies and makes them drag? Who's movies? Other than King Kong what other movies has he taken? Sure some of his films are long but with Lord of the Rings he really condensed, if you've read those books you'd know the movies could be MUCH longer. Anyway, I think I'll go buy the Frighteners since for some reason I don't have it (how???). As for Black Sheep, let's hope it's better than Barn of the Blood Llama.
