Preacher movie cancelled, possible HBO series!

Holy shit, this is awesome! I was mortified when they announced they were going to try to fit the entire Preacher series into one 2 hour movie. Now, they're talking about doing an HBO series!

I didn't even hear about the movie to begin with, but I've been saying for years they should make one! (Check some of the old comic threads for proof of that.) But actually what I've been saying all along is that this series would be SWEET as an HBO series!

The comic is, bar none, my all time favorite series (Sin City is a close 2nd though.) and The Saint of Killers is one of the coolest characters ever created. I can not WAIT for this shit to hit the screen (big or small.) and expose the world to the most awesome comic ever written. (Since it has recently exposed them to the 2nd most awesome comic ever written.)

It's also from the producer of 'The Sopranos'! I want this to happen more than anything I can think of in recent memory!

I'm hoping for Lance Henriksen as The Saint of Killers! I think he was born to play that roll.

Hmmm....


I always figured the character to be fashioned after the old Clint Eastwood westerns so I always pictured Clint in the role. Just for fun though, I might type up how I'd cast the whole movie on this thread later on if I got time.
