Dr.Who

Has anyone been following the new series on Sci-fi. Is anyone a fan here? What do you folks think of the new series?

Saw the first season of the new series here, but they never brought it back. Really enjoyed it, Eccelston (sp?) is/was amazing as the Doc.

I rented "The Dalek Invasion of Earth", an old William Hartnell story, and I really disliked it. Nothing happened, the Doctor wasnt a very interesting character, and everyone else were idiots. The Daleks were the only redeeming feature...

I have been watching this on Sci-Fi and really enjoy it. That's too bad if they only taped one season.

I wonder if they're going to bring the second season out on DVD?

They've kept up the high standards set by the first season, dont manage to catch every episode but looking forward to the Cybermen later on the series.

There will certainly be a third season.

Excellent show. The second season is better than the first. The new actor (second season) is more of "The Doctor" than the guy from the first season, if you know what I mean.

Caught the first part of the Cybermen two-parter last week. Excellent stuff. Wish I'd known it was a two-parter ahead of time, though.

Anyone think the "Empty Child" story from the first season was mildly scary? I thought so. Not a true horror tale, of course, but it had some elements.

Tom Baker was my favorite doctor. Sarah Jane Smith was my favorite companion, and it was wonderful seeing her and K9 back in action a few episodes ago.
