Random Action Films I think you should see.

Just a random idea. I just found a ton of action movie dvds in my portable dvd case, and thought i'd recommend a few...

Reign of Fire
(horror, action) GREAT movie, dragons taking over earth, very nice.

Vertical Limit
Worth a rent, you might want to buy, I think it's quite good.

Independance Day
Yeah, everyone has seen this I think. Very good. Aliens and such.

The Matrix
I think everyone has seen this too pretty much, but still...

Anaconda
One of the best creature films out there IMO. Great anaconda, movement, etc, story, acting is decent, movie is good enough to buy if its up your alley.

Lake Placid
Best crocodile movie out there IMO. Its scary a little bit, humorous, with a bunch of twists and jumps. Not many human deaths though, but one surprisingly good one.

Asteroid

We've had this forever. Meteor strike on earth, its kind of old, but its pretty good if I remember correctly, hard to find though.

Daylight

Claustrophobic flood type movie. Sometimes boring, but it has some exciting moments, and a definite claustrophobic feel throughout, rent worthy.

Volcano
Rent worthy... It isn't very good, but its worth one view if you like natural disaster stuff. Some interesting deaths, stupid ending.

Lost in Space

It's good, ignore the hype. It has some awesome action, and somethings are creepy, like the spider robots... etc.

The Time Machine
Return should like this review... I loved it, its original, frightening at a few parts, and the feel is great. The *creatures* are scary, and its a weird movie, but very good.

Just felt like posting those, hope someone out there wants to see one now. Reign of Fire is pretty much a horror movie, so... go rent it...

I personally thought Reign of Fire was crap and if I remember correctly the size of the dragons fluctuated depending on the scene (especially with the epic final battle).

Loved Lake Placid...especially Betty White (the Golden Girl with the foul mouth).

Posher, you and I seem to differ slightly :D in our tastes.

Luckily we are two different people so thats ok.

What?

Lost in Space eh? I avoided this based on some friends' opinions. Maybe I should give it a chance.

Robocop is grand, I just typed the few I found today that I didn't know I had. Vertical Limit wasn't that great, but it was watchable at least. And Urge, asteroid was a tv movie, I have no idea how we got it on dvd.

Fair enough.

At least you mentioned Time Machine...one of my favourites:D. The "creatures" you're thinking of are called Morlocks, great effects on those guys.
