Question Zombie Movies - What are your picks

So last night I'am thinking, its the night before Holloween time for Zombie movies. I rented 28 days & Dawn of the Dead (2004). Well heres where things went down hill. 28 days was way too long & didn't have the scares to it. So in goes Dawn Of The Dead & it was low on the scare meter. Dawn had the gore but again not the scares. The fun thing about Dawn was the special features with Tom Savini & the zombie survival tactics.
So whats your zombie picks then for the Holloween party tonight?
By the way happy halloween

"Dawn of the Dead 78" is my absolute favorite, followed by Lucio Fulcis' "Zombie" or "Zombie 2":)

Hmm zombie flicks, well, of course you can't beat Romero's original trilogy, also Dead Alive, Zombie, 28 days was ok but i don't really consider it a zombie flick...

Zombi 2, original Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, I liked Resident Evil (but a lot of people didn't). Zombie movies are interesting because they're not really scary as the premise of them is. A group of people fighting off the undead who just keep increasing in numbers while supplies start to run low and human nature kicks in which starts problems within the groups of people trying to survive.

George Romero's original trilogy would be the obvious choice. Beyond these, Fulci's zombie movies are usually fairly decent, as long as you're not expecting high art. Zombie movies usually don't deliver many scares for me, so I can't really suggest anything that works on that level.

Yeah, if you're gonna watch "Dead Alive" or Fulci movies, get the unrated versions. And the "Dead Alive " lawn mower scene is one of the top 5 for bloodiest kills scenes. :)
