You live, you die, then what?

What do you folks think happens to someone after they die?

This is always an interesting topic for me because I tend to believe we become worm food and that's about it, but I like to hear other people's more optimistic take on it too...

Heaven? Hell? Reincarnation? Become a ghost?

What do you think happens?

It would be really nice to just become worm food-I'd prefer that.

Hell is real.
Just not how the bible-thumpers think.

I think the essence of a person can linger after death,so-ghosts are likely.
We can put an emotional stamp on this planet-just visit Auschwictz, even though the camp itself was torn down-there is a feeling there.

Heaven-no clue, won't even bother pondering that.

Reincarnation-very possible. Some people are older than their(there) experience in this lifetime-so,reincarnation could explain it.

Here's what I think happens if you are a complete waste of oxygen- then die:

Your soul gets pulled into this creepy organic monsterlike mouth that is endless and inescapable.
Filled with pain that can't even be described because even extreme ultimate earthbound pain is a flea compared to this.
And the worst part?
No Higher Power will, not only try to save you,but doesn't care. And that level of lost is indescribable.

As do i. There seems to be certain era's that i'm drawn to and have an affection for. Such as the old west. Just call me "Newb the Kid".
That and medieval times.

YES...I've had dreams that feel WAY too real...And when I wake up, they feel more like memories....And, I can even add details that weren't in the dream....I can't really explain it any better than that......But, that's the reason for my change in thinking....

I would love to hear other opinions on the text i wrote below. I know its somewhat long, and most people avoid these posts, so im writing this here to grab your attention :)
----

Fredrich Nietzche describes it best.

I beleived this way b4 reading his books, but it was nice to see that others agree as well.

Heaven and hell is simply a state of being. Originally the gospels and "sacred" (heavy on the quotes) texts were just primative guidelines on how one should live life.

it mentioned nothing of sin..or punishment...it was more of a break down- If you are good and blah blah....you will go to heaven (meaning..your life wont suck and you will be happy)..

If you lie cheat..etc etc..your life can turn to hell....and you wont be happy..

thats all.

Then religion just became twisted as hell...I'm spiritual ....but not religious...I beleive what ive learned and experienced in life. We are all alive on this planet together. Its a balance, thats all. The problem with the human race is that - we try to understand more than we are capable of. In reality, we should just live...try to be happy with others and be free to express ourselives without judgment...

Birds fly...swim fish..we as humans can learn from that...we should just live...and not try to over analyze life. that only puts restrictions. Weve been brainwashed from day one..with stories of heaven..hell and god....its all horseshit. And people who beleive the whole jesus hype scare me. Buddhism is the closest thing to a respectable religion ( i know..its a philosophy..not a religion). But it just teaches you how to b happy. Buddhism has no real rules. it just suggests ways to keep centered.

but to make a long story short (cause i can go on and on- especially with the sihtty state of affairs our country is in with all those retarded religious freaks)

WE BECOME WORM FOOD

And the reason i enjoy dark films..art..music etc..is because i beleive that good and evil are one..and we need both ..and each extreme only makes us appreciate the opposite.

Also its a form of expression to break away from all the religion crap. All that talk about sinning and how wrong it is..blah blah. Sins dont exist.. we chosoe what to do..wrong or right...its ok....there is nobody judging....we just do what we do and some learn.some dont...

I really like the just b and judgement part.
It would be really nice to get into that kinda zen mode where every moment is lived IN the moment, without much thought to it.
I would love that, things are really getting to me these days.

Buddism is cool
Any thing is cool is it's not abused.
