*changed* Horror preferences

So lately I've been feeling accused of helping the "ruining" of this place. I was thinking about how my threads and posts have nothing to do with horror movies. So I decided to make one.

In this thread, we talk about the type of horror movies that we tend to like. I mean some horror movies are so different it's almost a crime to have them both in the same genre, do you prefer slasher's like Friday the 13th over Psycho? Slow or fast paced etc.
Basically what we love about horror movies/our ideal horror movies.

I absolutely love black and white photography, black and white film is something else I love. Sad as it may sound, most of my friends can't even stand to watch a movie if it is in black and white.

I'm a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock, the man was a genius. New horror movies need more suspense, less eye fucking.

I really enjoy slower paced horror movies, or atleast movies that slow down and give you the oppurtunity to think about what's going on. I hate the quick editing in horror movies, extremely overused.

My favorite type of horror movies are more Psycho/The Shining type stuff. I love dark movies, the ones where the actors' faces are constantly in the shadows.

In this thread, we talk about a movie or an episode that we absolutely love. I mean the movies that you can watch back to back, over and over again. I'm sure we all have some movies that we watch so much, we've picked up what makes them so good. I want to hear points about the direction, acting, editing, important scenes
etc.

I shall edit with my first selection.
No way do I wanna think THAT hard...I come here to STOP thinking for a while...Can't you tell by the majority of my posts?.....lol

I thought this thread was about the movie-whoring and dick-sucking that occurs so frequently on DVD commentary tracks, you know, "So and so's vision was so strong, we all worked so hard to realize it..." "You acted this scene so well, I totally believe this scene," "So and so is the master of this kind of subtle lighting, etc.," slurp slurp slurp, mmmmm drool slobber smack. If you have listened to commentary tracks, then you know the routine, all too well.

In fact that's why I clicked on the thread, but I now see that you just wanted to talk about movies you like, or don't like, which is not as much fun in my opinion as talking about commentary tracks. Can we talk about commentary tracks? They make me happy.

Actually...The best DVD commentary I've ever seen was in Invader Zim......I know, it's silly, but it's true :)
