Japanese Ghost story?

Hello all,
I'm new to the site and thought I would start with a question. With the recent interest in Asin horror, a freind and I were talking about a Japanese Horror movie that came out in the early to mid 80's. He seems to recall it being called "Ghost Story", and no, it's NOT that bad movie with Fred Astair. Anyone have any ideas?

Is it The House Where Evil Dwells?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084096/

It is early '80s and about an American couple that moves into a haunted house in Japan. This is a movie I really didn't care for all that much, but it might be the one you are thinking of. If not, I am also stumped.
