Short Films

Here's some links to some short films. Not really horror, although they do have blood and boobs. I'd say experimental thrillers.

"So, We Killed Our Parents"

"The Cold Heat"

"Sane: The Story of the Boredom Killings"

"Tammy's Slumber Party"
http://www.alteregocinema.com/Shorts...MBERPARTY.html

"Lucifer's Mind"

Here's some thoughts on your post here. Not really polite, although they do echo the sentiment around here. I'd say quit the f****ing spamming.

You know why ? Nobody here knows you. You didn't bother to stop into the new members forum to introduce yourself. You came directly here to shill your movies. Know what else ? No one is going to watch them here now. Noobs who arrive only to spam are looked upon worse than lepers around here. You have contributed nothing to the community but advertisements for your films.
Adios.

it did say filmmakers so I thought it be ok. and I would have responded to more posts about other films I was interested in but I didn't want to spam Alter Ego Cinema's name everywhere.

But I guess that didn't really matter.

Seeing as though there's six on there at one time I'd say he/she's flew right past spammer to whore.

You're lucky I'm not as hardened as the rest. :p

"Tammy's Slumber Party"
The music is too distracting, the beginning argument etc. was funny and realistic but I don't think it worked for me. With very few exceptions, I think you should put a lot more thought into framing the shots. I know it's just a super low budget short film, but please, don't let that stop you from using a tripod and putting the time and effort into it. Some parts worked well, I couldn't watch it to the end though, sorry. :(

I might check some of the others out later.

I must agree. It could work ok though. Perhaps if anyone watches your movies (Which we won't, it would just encourage other spam whores like yourself), it could give us some ideas on ways to deal with spammers like yourself.

Thanks. Although I might add, Tammy's Slumber Party was by one filmmaker. We have many different filmmakers who contribute, so if you don't like one perhaps another film by a different filmmaker, or not, but just a thought.

As for the spam. There's one discussion I felt like particiapating in and I read a bunch of other stuff I found interesting. It said if you're a filmmaker, discuss stuff here, SO WHAT EXACTLY IS A SPAMMER? Almost every thread I looked at somebody got on their butt for being a spammer, I mean c'mon.

A spammer is somebody who posts their stuff and leaves and spams so much they don't even respond to their own thread they started. They post in multiple categories the same topic, or post the same topic 4 times in a row. I tried to bunch it all up in one, instead of posting 5 threads on all five different shorts, and you still have a problem.

Personally, I like to see filmmakers posting their stuff so the world can hear about it and watch it. I check out as much stuff as possible. We're not selling anything, so what exactly is the problem?

It's not spam to post a thread on War of the Worlds which has all the publicity in the World, but an indie film nobody has heard of that needs some expsoure, don't you dare let people know about that, that's spam.

I really don't get it, but if it makes you feel better, keep shoutin' out name calling. I got over that in elementary school.

Basically, people get pissed off when someone comes to the site and starts to promote their movies without introducing themselves and making some relevant posts about horror movies first.

Personally, as long as the "spammer" is showing a completed short film and not a trailer or website, I'm cool with it. I can see why it bothers people when someone who doesn't contribute to this site does this though.
