Horror Writers

Although most of the talk is about films I find that horror literature is generally more entertaining as censorship does not come into it so much and it does not get affected by poor special effects and studio pressure on the creators. Literature is far more original and imaginative and the good authors can basically take you anywhere they like with their ideas.
I'd like to know what other horror fans think and vote in my poll for your favourite author and possibly suggest someone Ihaven't mentioned.

To Mr Sadistro or whatever your stupid name is ,probably prat, this is a general forum so I'll post whatever I like. If you're not interested in the subject then why bother replying with such moronic messages. Unfortunately there isn't a dickhead section on this site so we're probably stuck with your mindless babble.

I disagree, I think film is better because the book is brought to life and if it's well done then it'll be a great film reguardless of the reasons you listed above.

perfect example- The Shining

Word of advice, noob: There are correct forums and there are correct manners. Learn to use them both.
As for "we're probably stuck with" statement, who exactly is "we"? 11 posts doesn't exactly make you a regular around here, does it ? I simply said there is a Books section and you'd be more likely to find people to chat with there about authors. In case you hadn't noticed, the General forum is for topics that don't fit anywhere else (ie Appropriate Time to Ban Noobs). No, unfortunately there is no "dickhead section", just like there's no "noobs who don't how to post in correct forums and get a hair up their ass when informed section". Sad, huh ?

I refuse to vote on the grounds that there is no "Vodstok" option on the poll. :p

Its always funny to hear newbs call newer newbs newbs. Yo Sadistro, you only got 170 posts. That doesnt make you a regular around here either.

As for the topic of the thread, I refuse to vote on the grounds that you left Edgar Allen Poe off your list.

Yes, forgetting Poe and Lovecraft is like making a pole about "popular Deities" and forgetting God and Jesus.
