Question Dead Reckoning

The 4th and final installment of George Romero's Living Dead movies is slated to be titled, "Dead Reckoning". Does anyone know what the original title was going to be? I would greatly appreciate any responses.

I think dead reckoning WAS the working title for a while, but it's now officially "land of the dead".
As for what the original title WAS going to be, I'm unsure if there was a title before the one you mentioned...if there is, who cares?

There should be some information in the upcoming movies area of the forum, I'd suggest you look in there.

i believe Twilight of the Dead was another possible title at one time ...to keep with the theme of the previous 3 titles.

Dead Reckoning is the name of an 'anti-zombie' vehicle in the movie so you'll still hear it.

It will definately be called Land of the Dead when its released.

I just picked up a copy of the script, dated 8-24-04, with the title Land of the Dead. I've only read a few pages. I've got it on PDF and could try to email it out, no gurantee's. Send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

man i refuse to read a script before seeing the movie .. you're just setting yourself up for dissapointment.
I have a friend in 'the biz' who is constantly doing that and then pissing and moaning later on ... he no longer knows how to enjoy a film.

I like checking them out later though, so I'll take you up on it in a year or so :)

I compare it to seeing a film based on a book, or watching a remake. I know the general premise, but it's never exactly like I imagined it would be. I consider myself a student of the art, and really enjoy seeing how everything comes together.

On the divimax release of Day Of The Dead, during an interview with George Romero, he talks about making a film titled Twilight Of The Dead, so yeah I think that was supposed to be the original title.
