Sad loss of an awesome character

Some of you Uk people will know who I'm talking about.

Fred Dibnah... The man of Steam and Steeples...a marvelous and great character has died aged 66. :(

I used to love watching his Tv series, right from a young age up to his latest one a few months ago... he died after filming his last series. You Yanks wouldnt really be able to appreciate what this guy was about, and how his unique personality entertained many followers.

He was a good man, a happy man..."looked up to" by many as their 'ol beloved steeplejack from Bolton...leaving many a viewer, many a fan, he's gone to "jack" that big steeple in the sky.
He will be missed among those to whom me mattered.

Actually, I didn't know who you meant, but for the sake of the entertainment he provided to you, Shanks, this online epitaph was on me - Glad to oblige!

I saw him in a programme this morning on the history channel, nothing was mentioned about his passing away.

any man who tries to build a mine shaft in his back, has to be a great bloke. yeah its always kinda sad when a character like that dies, the world needs more people like him, they make it so interesting.
