The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007)

Have Anyone seen this movie? I dont know what to think about it. I liked the first half of the film, but the second half... not so much. I liked the killer's smartness, but there were some silly parts. I think they went over the top. Those who have seen it, what did you think?

Wasn't bad - I didn't expect too much from it at all though...

Haven't seen this one yet but from what I've read the movie draws from Kendall Francois' killings which is sort of cool for me because my dad actually knew him. He worked as a janitor where my dad teaches. I'd like to see the movie at some point and see how similar it is to the real case.

The Poughkeepsie Tapes

I was wondering if anyone has seen this movie, and if you have, what did you think of it?

Also, I read that this doesn't have a theatrical, DVD, or VOD release. Anyone know why?

I've seen it and have a copy that i downloaded. I really liked it, it's one of the most disturbing movies i've ever seen. Not really sure why it has no official release though.

Ditto! One of the Best found footage flicks, IMO. There are some utterly creepy & unsettling moments in the film.

I was somewhat interested in it because Horrible Reviews had it in his "Most Disturbing Movies Ever" list, and it's directed by the guy who did Devil, As Above/So Below, and Quarantine.

I was expecting it to be pretty disturbing, but had fairly low expectations for its overall quality. In the end I wasn't disappointed, and agree that there were some pretty unsettling moments. I'd watch it again.

Watched this film last night, found it rather grim. It started off ok, but the scripting or the poor acting let it down... also the film makers picture quality of the film the killer made was atrocious, too dark in many scenes and was hard to make out what was going on, without turning up the contrast. The poor quality effects were overdone.

That guy in the white lab coat who was describing the way killers saw up their victims was in there for the comedy value
