Hospitals
Anyone else terrified by them? I always thought I would hate them, but never realized how much until I was in one as a patient for the first time. Jesus...

I hate hate hate hate haaate them. I avoid going. I have broken bones and not gone in. I have had cuts badly in need of stitches and not gone in. Only time I go is when my ear infections get bad enough that I'm deaf, I have a concussion, or Derek forces me to go to the ER when I'm really really sick. I fight him the whole way there and bawl my eyes out and pout but he doesn't fall for that anymore.
Once I get within a block of the place I start having panic attacks and hyperventilating. Even going to visit dying people, or once I had to take Derek to the ER cause he was really sick. I just panic. I get jumpy, I over analyze any germy situations, and I have hit the blood sample taking lady on more than one occasion. Plus side to hospitals: I can distract myself by looking at other people's open wounds. Last time I went (the time I brought derek) a man had cut open his knee really deep and I could see the bone and watched him get stitches. It was pro. @Posher: why were you in the hospital? :(

The only thing I hate about them is the smell. Horrible. I can't stand that smell, of like old people, anasceptic, BO and leather. Nasty, ewlgh!

We have a fairly new hospital in town that is actualy very nice. It's build with a large outdoor garden/courtyard in the center and is decorated in a warm relaxing style. We go out of our way to go there instead of the nightmare inducing horrors of the older hospitals in town.
