IT is probably my favourite book, although 1984, Fight Club and a book I will now recommend to you all, come quite close.
Swan Song, by Robert McCammon. It's brilliant, truly amazing. It's an epic story set in a post war environment and charts the journeys of certain people. With all the stories coming together at the end, much like IT. If anyone ever makes a film from it, I will piss myself in excitement.
