friday the 13th top 5

Here are a few Top 5 lists dealing with one of my favorite horror series, "Friday The 13th." Enjoy!

Top 5 "Friday The 13th" Death Scenes!

5. Triple Decapitation-"Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)"

While playing paintball games in the woods around "Camp Forest Green," some local business people run into Jason Voorhees. Jason immediately disposes of them with a machete, decapitating all three of them at the same time. No remorse for these yuppie scum, they were probally all admired Gordon Gekko and got what they deserved. Points to their friend who attempts to stop Jason with a paintball gun.

4. Double Impalement-"Friday The 13th Part 2 (1981)"

Sandra and Jeff get a classic "Friday The 13th" death as the two of them are skewered by Jason during coitus. There is such symbolism in this scene, penetration and, well, penetration. Jeff deserves it alone for looking like a lame Brian Johnson with that silly ass hat.

3. Corkscrew-"Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)"

This is a new favorite of mine, it knocked down the previous death in this slot, "Boxing Decapitation" from "Part 8." Nerdy Crispin Glover, the "Dead Fuck" finally gets laid and
apparently is "pretty good." Now all he wants to do is settle down with a bottle of wine, but can't find the corkscrew. Jason, being ever so helpful, finds it for Mr. Glover, stabs him in the hand with it and plants a hatchet right in the head. "Hey Ted, where the hell is the corkscrew?!" indeed.

2. Wheelchair-"Friday The 13th Part 2 (1981)"

The "Friday" series always caught flack for it's casual attitude for sex, however here was a genuine guy, Mark who really seemed to like a VERY cute girl, Vicki. Seriously, the two bond over playing video games, these are nice kids. It's bad enough this guy is in a wheelchair, but Jason has to ruin all his chances for having a fun night by planting a machete right into Mark's head, the worst is yet to come though. The poor guy then rolls backwards down a big flight of stairs in his wheelchair. A very cool death, amplified by the great atmosphere of the stormy night and that classic "Friday The 13th" fade to white that closes out the scene.

1. Sleeping Bag Against A Tree-"Friday The 13th Part 7: The New Blood (1988)"

What can be said about this death that hasn't been said before. So simplistic and so smart utilizing a classic element of camping in the woods, it's amazing it took this long in the series for it to happen. Judy attempts to hide from Jason in a sleeping bag (the first place I would run to). Jason picks up the bag and slams it against a tree. The uncut scene on the DVD boxset is totally worth checking out. The re-creation of this scene in "Jason X" is the only thing worthwhile in that travesty

I really don't understand why you'd put a Night of the Living Dead logo at the bottom of your Friday the 13th post...

i'm sorry but i give up completely on any friday the 13th movie.

ive seen 1 3 jason lives jason x and 2, and i gave them a fair chance and looked for the positives.

i hate these movies. they are boring. deal with it, and none of that, *it was in the 80s give it a chance. eever seen halloween? 1978. a flawless movie for that time. i do admit that jason movies have very interesting death sequences, and a couple things are creepy. and i really want to enjoy these movies because that hockey mask is just scary on him, but its just too boring...

the original put me to sleep =/ and the only part i liked in 3 was when jason stabbed whats her face through the hammock, and sliced the boyfrind in between the legs when he was walking on his hands.

does anyone agree somewhat? sure its classic, and interesting murders, but its pointlessly boring at times.

crazy ralph, strangled with barbed wire,

pruning sheer eye gouge( new blood),

keven bacon death,

hot coal death( manhatton),

motorcycle decap( new blood)

there are some others but those are my favs, the only reason i really like jason other than the fact that he is a fucking mogoloid zombie, is the fact that he has originality( when it comes to killing anyway). every other killer is basicly just repeditive( mike with the butcher knife super glued to his hand, leatherface and that big ass gas chainsaw, and fredrico mith that fucking glove( granted that he didnt always kill with it but it was his only weapon, but at least he had humor))) if any of the others ever killed with anything other than their primary weapon it was out of necesity, but MR. Voorhes never had a primary weapon( sure he was always seen with a machette but he barly ever used it.

I gotta agree with Posher on this one...Ive seen F13 + F13 Part 2 + FvsJ. I hate to say it, but I think Fredyy vs Jason was the best of the bunch. The first one was OK [really cool ending], but the second was just boring and stupid. Im not a Slasher fan in general, but these are definatly just boring/stupid.

The first one's good, Freddy vs. Jason is entertaining but as for the other 9, they're just boring.
