Top Ten Scary . . . MONKEYS

OK - given the popularity of "top ten" polls - here's mine. Top ten scary monkeys (for my purposes I'm including gorillas, apes, monkeys, makkaus, etc etc under the umbrella term "monkey").

10. Dr. Zaius - Planet of the Apes (1968)
9. Ella - Monkey Shines
8. Erik - Murders at the Rue Morgue
7. Mighty Joe Young - 1949
6. A*P*E - Attack of the Giant Horny Gorilla (1976)
5. Poe - The Gorilla (1939)
4. White Apes - Congo (1995)
3. Noodle - from Gorillaz (whose new album Demon Days really rocks)
2. King Kong - (1933 - not that "man in monkey suit" crap from 1976)
1. The Brooklyn Gorilla - Bela Lugosi Meets the Brooklyn Gorilla

Great choices! But I would've included White Pongo, and also the monkeys in "King of Kong Island," as well as the monkeys of "Time of the Apes," probably the scariest ape movie of all time. Remember General Gebar?

This evil monkey is missing from your list:
