The Toxic Avenger
I just bought this movie the other yesterday, still havent seen it. I remember the cartoon from a long time ago which ruled but I never saw this movie. Thoughts on the film....

low budget, cheep looking cheesy gore film, the first was watchable, the second I turned off after 10 minutes. These films are a love or hate thing.

I cant watch anything from troma. they make me sick that anyone can prodcue any piece of shit and make money off o fit. more power to them for being successful, but i find them boring and stupid.

i thought the 1st toxic avenger was good for a laugh - but for the most part a agree - trauma are amateurish garbage.
they became aware of 'cornball appeal' early on so now they use that as an excuse for their low budget poorly acted junk.

Well the movie looks pretty kick ass. I just viewed the trailer. I dont think I would buy any other Troma flicks though.

The cartoon was actually "toxic crusaders"...IT was ok I suppose...
The Toxic Avenger, I thought was ok in terms of ultra-violence, can't say whether or not I've seen the sequels. Troma films are "bad" be definition, but there are some I'd see again for a laugh, not all of them completely suck. Tromeo and Juliet was a fucking laugh!, and class of nuken high, at least part 3 "the good the bad and the subhumanoid" was pretty funny too...then again, this is going back a few years.
