Zup Sculpt?
Black Widows are a native species here....They are only aggressive when defendin' an egg sack...They are very conspicuous and would be picked off by a bird quick, so they kick it on the d-low. Most times when I come across 'em they try ta camoflauge by bein' still or they quickly hide.
I'd say that I'm an armchair naturalist....Been cataloggin' the flowers and fauna here fer some time....I've observed that fer all livin' here, some years boom and some years lull....I love spiders.....let barn spiders winter over in the windows here...those little zebra jumpin' spiders are my Fav!
Black Widows are just not welcome so close to the house is all.
Just this Spring I saw my first juvenile B/W at this spot down by the river...They're all green and stripey. when they're young, the turn black and shiny when they mature..didn't kill that one.
It's not 'bout a badger gettin' hurt, It's the price and availabilty of anti-venom,as well as the sufferin'.
Ever see a B/W egg sack? It's a sickly yellow color and kinda papery not all webby like others. Besides the best way to get rid of a spider is just knock down their web and they'll move on.
