I agree, I fear that if we couldn't see a human standing before us it would be to easy to lose compassion. But at the same time, we could just program out the urge to kill or murder and eventually eliminate it. My fear is that reproducing would cease and everyone would just continue living as they are. It would also be easy for the government to deem who gets to live forever and who doesn't. Eventually it would be a perfect race of robots, with our memories but everything that makes us, us would cease. Its scary if you think about it. Its also scary that with how fast the world of science is developing we could just be 50 years from this sort of thing. We may all live to see robots take over the world.
