My parents used to do this with my sisters and I when we were kids. As such, I grew up on horror movies. Halloween was always my favorite. Its one of the first films I saw as a child.
The older black and white classics are great. Theyre not too violent and theres no sex/nudity. Frankenstein is still to this day one of my favorites, as is 13 Ghosts (that opening theme with the screaming ghouls!). Incidentally, the wicked witch from the Wizard of Oz has a role in 13 Ghosts.
