Nosferatu: The Vampyre (1979): 9/10
I have seen it two times before and I recently purchased it and watched it again today. Personally, I thought it was a solid remake of the 1922 film. The visuals were absolutely stunning and the camerawork equally so. Further, similar to the original, the Count Dracula figure looked quite sinister. The makeup for the character was perfect. There was not much emphasis on character development, but I do not think that was Herzog's aim. He wanted to make more of a piece of art. I think he succeeded quite well and made quite a beautiful masterpiece.
