I second:
  • Fido - Interesting way to link zombie-ism to 50s culture. I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but I think it's only because I was expecting something else. This is a very smart, clever movie and as a zombie fan I think you'll really dig it.
  • The Revenant - Funny but dark. Very very dark. And it has one of the best horror movie endings ever and a killer soundtrack. REALLY love this one.
  • Zombie 2 - Definitely ahead of its time. Plus you have a zombie fighting a shark.




I'll add to the list:
  • Night of the Comet - Valley Girls against zombies. Lots of fun.
  • American Zombie - Slowburn mocumentary about Life as a Zombie. Good little indie film.
  • Quarantine was actually a decent [REC] remake IMO.
