I remember him from Cannon. Very commanding persona, and great acting range. Not that I watched Cannon more than once. My grandparents watched it.
Do you think it would more or less likely to see an actor like William Conrad (heavy, no chisled good looks) get the
sole leading role in a serious TV series today, as opposed to late 70s?
You had Frantz as part of a leading duo in NYPD Blues through the 90s, but that's a bit different than the sole role of Cannon. I think Cannon was the last. But with the explosion of smaller cable shows, is it more or less likely?
