It was Hostel-lite. But I still thought it was interesting

It had some redeeming qualities, but nowhere near as good as the other two. My biggest beef with it was that it eliminated the single most interesting (and scary) theme from the first two films: our fear of other cultures, especially war-torn and desperate ones. Personally, I found Hostel to be very scary when I first saw it, mostly purely because of the concept. It made me afraid to travel to certain areas of the world. Hostel III petered away that one most redeeming quality by locating it in Las Vegas.
Also, overall it just seemed pretty amateur, the sets felt cheap, it had no child gangs shaking victims down for candy, and minus the vast, dingy, war-destructed factory locations, all it really had was a bit of mildly creative torture. Meh.
