The Howling (1981) - 3 Best modern reality take on werewolves since the Wolfman.
The Return of the Living Dead (1985) - 4 Fun, very well made film
Christine (1983) - 3 Very sharp and slick horror movie by John Carpenter
Videodrome (1983) - 5 (backed by neverending) Amazing original movie by David Cronenberg
Day of the Dead (1985) - 3 Better than average.

They Live (1988) How did this only get one vote? I dont recall if that was my one vote or not. Very original script. Ending didn't meet the high standard of the rest of film, in my opinion, but a classic. by John Carpenter


Notes:

Motel Hell was famous in it's time (i think that's my 1 vote). It's a classic, but I wouldn't say it's in league with The Thing, Aliens, etc.

Blue Velvet is classic, seen it many times; but I can't give my backing, only cause I really don't consider it horror.
