This was even more difficult than the 60s. My first draft had 34 titles. Had to cut a lot of personal favorites. A lot of old school got cut in favor of more modern horror. By the 70s Hammer's Frankenstein and Dracula films were stretching a bit thin for plot lines, so even though I love them, I cut them all. My final cut was The Other, which is an excellent horror film, and deserving of a place in the top films of the 70s. That's how brutal it got. So much of the weird, low-budget, sleazy horror of the 70s... I cut it all.
