Believe it or not, this was my first time watching this movie... I have to say, though, sometimes it can be hard to watch what have been identified as "classic" or "iconic" movies because it's really hard to go into them without your own opinions... That being said, I thought it was very good - Genuinely creepy and disturbing, Piper Laurie was truly a vile human being and Sissy Spacek was both sympathetic and creepy... I was truly fascinated by the beginning of the film - I know that sexualizing females is a clear trope in horror movies but this one was incredibly overt... To the point of being icky (I mean, these ARE high school girls!)... My main criticism is that it did feel a bit dated - What might have been atmospheric music at the time was a bit over-powering in an annoying way... And some of the direction was a bit over-done... Regardless, I was absolutely mesmerized after
the incident occurs through to the very end - Best parts of the movie.

Wet, Hot, American Summer (2001)
I haven't seen this since college. Still a perfect movie to get drunk to. Just the right amount of stupidity. Also, Paul Rudd is hilarious and I can't BELIEVE that was Eliot Stabler as the cook.
