Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990)
Surprisingly entertaining self-parody, although a bit too cartoony for my taste.

Videodrome (1983)
Probably about my 4th viewing, and of course, brilliant. This movie is different to me each time I see it. The first time, I was too young, and it probably confused me as much as it scared me. The next couple times were amazing for its innovation and left-field-edness. This time was almost equally great, and given the rise in popularity of torture porn, and how my own horror tastes have evolved over time, the ironic incrimination of the viewer was even more poignant. However, I admit, I did wonder if a time will come when VHS tapes are so distant a memory that they no longer can serve as the movie's core motif. I suspect that this one will be remade sometime soon.

Dagon
I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I believe Lovecraft's vision and intent was preserved, and some of the scenes were chilling. Very creative blend of monsters and ritualism, but what else would you expect from Lovecraft?

Bridesmaids (2011)
A little bit depressing, actually. Not bad though. I laughed out loud a couple times, and I like the two main actresses. Full of chick flick cliches though.

Okay then, that will do it for now.
