I'm surprised that some of the more "mainstream" horror movies (Alien, ...) didn't make that list.
I was however mighty pleased to see some of my all time favorites there, like the "Hitcher" (the '86 original with Rudger Hauer, not the remake of '07 with Sean Bean).
Like the OP, I'm kind of tired of all these "found footage" / "shaky camera" movies (Blair Witch, Cloverfield, Paranormal Whatnot, ...). The novelty effect has worn off but the obnoxious camera work remains...
I probably wouldn't consider any of Mr. Night's movies to be horror, but that's just me...
