I think that's all you can hope for these days, a spine tingler. As adults we'll never be affected in the same way as were, watching The Exorcist at 13 years old.
The only way to be unsettled by cinema these days, is through extreme cinema. And fuck that! I tried watching AUM and turned it off after 15 mins, and I believe there is much worse on the market.

I can agree on The Exorcist, TCM, and Suspiria in my top ten list. Exorcist III did have some pretty creepy parts and Brad Dourif as The Gemini Killer was excellent but I have to leave it out of my top ten. As far as my other choices for top ten favs, they would have to be: Halloween (original), The Ring, The Blair Witch Project, Silent Hill, In the Mouth of Madness, The Haunting (original black & white version), and Cabin Fever.
