Part of my A-Level English course. We could choose any text we wanted and then have to analyse from a particular critical perspective. I chose to analyse The Call of Cthulhu in terms of aesthetic value. In essence, I'm arguing against the idea that for something to be aesthetically valuable, it must be conventionally "beautiful". I reference the artistic skill of Giger and Goya's works, despite them being typically "pretty". When it's finished I could send you a copy/post it on here. It's annoying that I have to tailor it to the specification and keep to the word limit, since it means I can't necessarily discuss EVERYTHING I'd like to.
