Cheers for posting that man it was a good read.

I thought the part about what people accept as folklore and mythology is just made up by writers was particularly interesting. It made me think about how An American Werewolf In London, Near Dark and Martin were much more effective films because they broke the "rules" of the folklore. There was just more "realness" in a way because it played on the notion they we really don't know anything about werewolves or vampires and the folklore could be nothing but rubbish. Like the man said "Really? How many werewolves do you know?". The stories just seemed more plausible because they weren't wrapped up in traditional mythology and were brought into the real world.
