Duke Nukem Forever UNCUT Down Under!

After Bulletstorm being butchered at German hands, comes great news that Australia has been kind to Duke Nukem Forever. And when we say kind, we mean they have done the unthinkable - release the game without any cuts whatsoever.

To realise the true magnitude of that move, you need to check out Duke Nukem Forever's official debut trailer, which pretty much shows the extent of violence, crass humour (just the kind we prefer) and nudity contained within the game - all to a very appropriate Prodigy (Invaders Must Die) soundtrack.

Why is this so profound, you ask?

Australian videogame classification board doesn't have a rating beyond MA15+, so gamers there get a raw deal with heavily censored, read boring, versions of games. That is, provided publishers bother to ship their games down under at all. With the kind of over-the-top content Duke Nukem Forever has, we had bet on that game being simply banned as usual over there. If you still find all this incredulous, Gamepron has released box art images carrying the said rating.

The news got an official confirmation with a 2K representative acknowledging the uncut release to VG24/7 via email that read, "To answer your next question, NO, this game has not been edited in any way for an Australian release."

Sweet!

Duke Nukem Forever releases on May 3 in North America and on May 6 for the rest of the world.
