There isn't really gore asuch as there isn't really an antagonist. People get hurt and everything is a bit grim. There's a hospital scene with blood on the floors and some grizzly operating scenes but they flick away after a couple of seconds, you just get an idea of what is happening.
It is meant to be a realistic portryal of the aftermath of a nuclear attack, so it doesn't go overboard but equally it doesn't pretend to be anything less than it is.
