Quick update guys.
Man...no matter how prepared you try to make yourself for it, some of the stuff I've been hearing...still hits you.
Since joining up I've found out I can do my studies through them, same syllabus but even more industry related, I can pay off the course and then get the cost reimbursed once I'm done with it. Also this means I am now only busy 5 days a week instead of 6 which is great.
Getting some hands on work with the animals at the shelter when I need to complete related modules, and doing occasional ride alongs with the inspectorate as well which'll be some great experience.
This is maybe one of the most depressing and emotionally draining things I've ever had to do, but there's good parts to it too...you just have to wade through some real bullshit...
Overall, it's good to know you're doing something worthwhile though, and helping when and where you can.
