One instance of somebody killing someone with a Freddy glove, I believe, but for the most part. Stuff like that doesn't happen in general, though because horror tends to provide a degree of catharsis and serial killing is about an inability to attain satisfaction of one kind or another. The behavior your talking about shows an ability to appreciate something and connect to it, a spark of sanity and humanity that most people who kill are going to lack. Killing is a last resort. It's in human nature but it's usually not the first thing someone comes up with to do for enjoyment. You try everything, you don't connect, so you do the last, most desperate thing.
