She also thinks that because we have different opinion's that I hate her.For example because I'm not huge fan of country music and when I say something negative about country music it's like a punch in the chest.
And this whole experience has killed my self esteem.I mean if I lose a girl to a guy like that I must be pretty hopeless.

Sounds like there's nothing wrong with you, but there's something wrong with her. I've known girls like this who get out of a crappy relationship, find a really nice guy, but have such low self-esteems that they feel they don't deserve the nice guy and go crawling back to the d-bag. It's like some form of masochism.
