THE LAST CIRCUS ...

I don’t want to spend too much time writing about the trailer for The Last Circus, because it’s images say more than words possibly could. That’s probably why there’s not a single line of dialogue in the two minute trailer. But I do want to convince you to watch it. It’s one of the most visually immersive, bizarre and oddly beautiful trailers I’ve ever seen. And it features a clown wielding a machete.

But, that’s just in the first 20 seconds. By the end of the trailer we’ve been taken through a myriad of dreams and nightmares, all filtered through the veil of a circus tent. Alex De La Iglesia’s film played to raves during the TIFF Midnight Madness program as well as Austin’s genre film orgy, Fantastic Fest.
