SPOILERS FOR FRIDAY THE 13TH AND NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET REMAKES
I looked up the endings for the Friday and Nightmare remakes. Looks like they won't need to explain anything. Both end with their respective icons leaping out at the survivors. So if that movie were to happen they just could zip right past the explanations and onto the Myers stuff before making them meet up. :D
