Well hes not the killer in part 1 but it helps make him the killer after seeing his mother get killed, he wears the sack on his disfigured face until part 3 i believe which is where he finds his hockey mask. After part 4 it becomes a joke and doesnt have that genuine jason feel anymore however parts 5 and 6 and 7 are nowhere near as bad as jason takes manhatten which really does turn the series into a big joke. Part 9 Jason goes to hell is a big improvement and introduced the nightmare series which is good to watch after. His personality stays the same throughout however and doesnt hesitate to kill anybody. His disfigurement slightly changes however.
