Fulci's great. I'm lucky enough to have seen two of his films in theaters - the Beyond a few years ago, and the Gates of Hell (isn't it called City of the Living Dead also?) when it came out. Zombie is also fun - I always make drunken dinner guest watch the zombie vs shark scene. I haven't really seen any of his giallos - generally don't think those are very interesting. For one reason or another I haven't made it through House by the Cemetery, but it seems pretty good.
I like that his films don't always make sense and are more about atmosphere than anything else.
Remember the ending of Gates of Hell, where the kid is running toward the camera and then there is just kind of a freeze-frame? I heard that he was supposed to turn into a zombie, but they ran out of money...
