The only thing they could possibly do, to make this interesting again is to incorporate sci-fi elements...like, a "bad" group/person who were there to counter the actions taken by the main cast, something like that.
Really though IMO the third wasn't much good at all and the fourth was fucking shithouse...I won't even bother seeing this at the cinema.
