England are through to the Round of 16. They hung on to their lead till the end and fought out the win. Although they could so easily have been 2 - 0 or even 3 - 0, as the second half started and almost immediately Defoe/Rooney got a fantastic chance to score and bungled it.
And what a match between USA and ALGERIA!
USA's Donovan scoring in the first minute of added time after 90 minutes were over! Fantastic show.
The English fans must be relieved and jubilant. The USA fans, however, should be out of the world right now because of this fantastic and thrilling last minute win!
USA top the group on the basis of more Goals scored, England finish runners-up. For all their efforts, poor Slovenia stand eliminated, along with Algeria.
