1978 remake is the only one I thought was worth a damn. The original may have been good in it's time but it has aged as badly as cheap wine. I totally disagree about the original. It is one of the few films of that era that really hasn't aged at all. This is probably due to the fact that it didn't rely on special effects in any way.
