Not a bad remake but I was expecting to see some more explicit chaos in the town.

The Black Belly of the Tarantula (1971)
I'd find more interesting to see if the killer used some real Tarantulas (like the scene from Fulci's The Beyond) on his/her victims rather want to see them as defeated Tarantula against a killer wasp.:) Anyway, it's still a fine Giallo.
