I was stumbling over an apology when she hands me this big stack of blank paper. Never saw her again, I can't even remember her name but I've been drawing ever since.

Aww that's adorable. My favourite art teacher was a sub as well. Mr. Simpson. He dressed like something between a hippy and a cowboy and taught me basically everything I know. We sculpted that year, and did a lot of sketching. We all got a brand new, hard cover sketch book and I filled it so fast. I also got to design the set for out school's production that year. The guy used to be a set designer for Shaw festival, so he taught me how to trick the eye and we basically painted this huuuge backdrop, and did a lot of fake wood grain. I went on to do set painting for out local theater that summer. It was kind of a big deal.
Also, I drew this today on flockdraw.com today. I set up my own room, and basically anyone on that page can draw together at the same time.
