Even when Blair Witch first came out, and I thought it was real, I was excited, not by the fact they will probably die, but by the fact that kids trapped in the woods with a possible witch terrorizing them was a great backdrop for a scary movie. I hoped they would live. I WANTED them to live. So I think there is a big difference between watching some smut video, and watching scary, documentary style films.

I was just saying is that snuff or "smut" (i thought that meant porn..oh well) and documentery type horror looks the same, it has that "snuff" feeling to it. And even the other type of modern horror like the "Saw" films. We've come a long way to making things look real...perhaps too real. Like i said before the fake stuff looks more real than the real stuff. Its everyone's so obessed with "realism". I just think now it's come to the point that maybe we need to tone down the realism a tad.
