There (a bit later down the line) was the autobot aquivalent to "soundwave" right? I think he was black and red, but dunno if he did the whole tape thing or not. Was it blastbox?

It was just another gimmick to get you to buy TFs lol, but the idea was that these little guys transform into the heads of these big transformers.....ya the autobot "soundwave" as it were is Blaster, very annoying DJ bot lol with his own set of cassettes...

In the movie, a dying Megatron is reformed by Unicron (the big planet transformer voiced by Orsen Wells himself) into Galvatron, the purple guy with the cannon arm, (played by leonard Nimoy in the movie)...he sticks around for the rest of season 4 i believe the end of the headmasters (season 4 of G1) is when they get a new villian after Galvy, i think....
